Identify the mark before treating it

Oil, leaf staining, soil and moss need different responses. Take a clear photograph and note what caused the mark if you know. Deal with a fresh spill promptly, but avoid scrubbing with an unknown chemical that could affect the binder or surrounding planting.

Follow the manufacturer, not a cleaning shortcut

SureSet’s aftercare guidance covers routine cleaning and warns that some spills require prompt attention. Your own surface may use a different system, so obtain its approved care instructions from the installer. Do not mix chemicals or assume a strong solvent is safe because it removes the stain. For an Aldwick driveway, pay attention to the edges beside planting beds and the places where vehicles stand. If the surface is loose or visibly damaged, get advice before applying a treatment that might mask the problem or affect future repair.

Your project checklist

  • Record the cause and location of the stain.
  • Check the installed product’s approved cleaning advice.
  • Ask the installer about persistent or unexplained marks.

Can any household degreaser be used on resin bound?

Do not assume so. Use only a method confirmed as suitable for the installed resin system.
