Walk the completed area together

Check the agreed border details, cover positions and joins to paths and thresholds. Ask the installer to explain the drainage arrangement and any areas needing special care. Compare the completed scope with the written quotation, raising questions before assuming a detail was included or omitted.

Keep the practical guidance in one place

Request written return-to-use instructions for pedestrians and vehicles, approved cleaning advice and the contact details for reporting a concern. Confirm the warranty terms and any exclusions for the installed system rather than relying on a headline warranty claim. Save the invoice, specification and photographs with the handover notes. Ask which changes would need professional advice, such as heavy point loads, future excavations or alterations to drainage. Good records make maintenance and any later repair discussion easier.

Your project checklist

  • Confirm when pedestrians and vehicles may return.
  • Keep the specification and aftercare instructions.
  • Ask how to report defects and what warranty terms apply.

What should I do if something looks wrong after installation?

Photograph it and contact the installer promptly. Avoid attempting an improvised repair before obtaining advice.
